How do I cover my tattoo with Ferbs temporary tattoo cover up?

How many applications do I need to apply?

Typically 3-5 THIN applications are necessary to receive optimal results, but more or fewer applications may be necessary based upon your unique tattoo and skin type. How do I cover my tattoo with Ferbs temporary tattoo cover up?

What “tools” are necessary?

We recommend that you use the Ferbs Foundation Brush to apply Tattoo Undercover and Ferbs Jumbo Powder Dome to dust on Alibi Setting Powder. Sponges tend to produce unacceptable results. In a pinch it is suggested you use a generic foundation brush to apply Tattoo Undercover and a generic Powder Brush to apply Alibi Setting Powder.

Do I need to apply Alibi Setting Powder?

YES! Alibi Setting Powder that keeps Tattoo Undercover from rubbing off on clothing and revealing your ink. Alibi Setting Powder it is crucial for blending the temporary tattoo coverup with your skin tone and locking the tattoo coverup makeup in place.

Will Tattoo Undercover rub off on my clothes?

When Alibi Setting Powder is applied over top of Tattoo Undercover (and after Tattoo Undercover has finished drying completely), the cosmetic is prevented from rubbing off on clothing. For more visit Tattoo Makeup That Won’t Rub Off on Clothes!

Can I get Tattoo Undercover wet (or swim in it?)

Yes, Tattoo Undercover is very water-resistant (waterproof). However, minimal testing has been made toward the effects of mixing our products with salt or chlorine, so we recommend you “tread lightly” in water.

How do I remove Tattoo Undercover?

Because Tattoo Undercover is very water-resistant, regular ol’ soap and water won’t do the trick. The best way to remove Tattoo Undercover temporary tattoo cover up is with a mineral based oil, such a baby oil, which can be purchased at your local drug store.

How long does an application of Tattoo Undercover last?

Tattoo Undercover will last roughly 6 – 8 hours before touch ups are suggested.

What is the shelf life of Ferbs Cosmetic products?

Cosmetics have a period after opening (PAO) date which is the recommended amount of time products should be used after opening. Tattoo Undercover has a PAO of 12 months, Alibi Setting Powder has a PAO of 24 months and Ferbs Brushes should be washed regularly to avoid build up.

Tattoo Undercover is thick, will this cause me to break out?

Tattoo Undercover is created with all noncomedogenic ingredients which means it was not created with materials that have proven to cause pore blockage.

Is there any UV protection in Tattoo Undercover or Alibi Setting Powder?

Currently Tattoo Undercover or Alibi does not have an SPF or UV protection and is not recommended to be used as a substitute for sunscreen.

What tattoo ink colors are the hardest to coverup?

Generally the colors farthest from your natural skin tone such as blues and green are the hardest to coverup. However, Ferbs Cosmetics tattoo coverup cosmetics have been specifically formulated to coverup even the most vibrant tattoo inks.

How many different times can I expect to cover my tattoo from a 1.5 oz bottle of Tattoo Undercover?

On average, a normal or regular sized tattoo can be fully covered about 15 times using Ferbs Cosmetics Tattoo Undercover supplied in a 1.5 oz bottle.

How do I get my parents to let me wear makeup?

Tattoo Removal

Can I use Tattoo Undercover while in the process of removing my tattoo?

Yes, but be sure the area is completely healed between treatments before applying Tattoo Undercover.

Why should I use Ferbs Cosmetics products while removing my tattoo?

Ferbs is great when used along with your tattoo removal treatments. Laser tattoo removal on average takes 1 – 2 years to fully remove. I dislike my tattoo, but what are the benefits of using Ferbs rather than removing it?

Ferbs Cosmetics is a cheaper, safer, temporary & more predictable alternative to laser tattoo removal. However, if you should ever decide to go ahead and remove your tattoo, Ferbs Cosmetics products are safe to use in between laser tattoo removal treatments. However, Ferbs Cosmetics products should only be used on perfectly healed skin and never on opened or irritated skin.

Tattoos

I just got my first tattoo but I still haven't told anyone yet! How long should I wait after getting a tattoo before I can cover it with Tattoo Undercover?

Tattoos may look healed on the surface after only 7 – 10 days however Tattoo Undercover should not be applied until the tattoo is completely healed and this may take up to 2 months.

I’ve had an allergic reaction to my tattoo ink, can I still cover it with Tattoo Undercover?

It is not uncommon for allergic reactions to occur after first receiving a tattoo. However, should any type of allergy occur discontinue use of all products and contact your doctor immediately.

Can I apply Tattoo Undercover on my tattoos to protect them from fading?

No, currently Tattoo Undercover does not have an SPF and should not be used as a substitute for sunscreen.

Will my local tattoo artist think I’m crazy for asking about a temporary tattoo coverage?

No way, Ferbs partners up with tattoo artist across the county who are supportive and understanding of the need for a temporary tattoo coverage solution. We recommend always discussing tattoo coverage options with your artist before receiving any tattoo.
