With the recent approval of tattoos being protected under the First Amendment, it’s interesting a ban on new tattoo shops would come at a time like this.

A temporary ordinance was approved by the City Council this week prohibiting any new tattoo shops from opening in Hermosa Beach for 45 days.

After speaking with City Officials the moratorium was placed while they reviewed and established zoning codes for tattoo shops.
